Swann SW233-ADW ADW300 Digital Wireless Security Camera
Wireless technology is now a way of life for us all. When it comes to security cameras many of us want an easy alternative to running the cable in our homes or businesses. 900-MHz and 2.4GHz analog signal products made that possible. But as wireless devices proliferated in these frequency ranges security cameras often were subject to interference and instability for image and sound. Now you can enjoy true zero-interference wireless observation with Swann's ADW300 Digital Wireless Camera Kit. The camera is housed in an all-weather casing and can be mounted indoors or outdoors. The receiver connects to any audio/video input device. Connect it to your home theater screen and use the PIP function to see who is at the door; or monitor the kid's playroom; or keep an eye on the pool. In a business environment this camera is ideal for watching public areas or rear doors, parking areas, etc. The camera has zoom, pan and tilt controls giving you some flexibility on what and how you see things. Using Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology this camera kit is truly interference free. Microwave ovens, cordless telephones, internet routers, bluetooth devices, nothing interferes with it. Your privacy is guaranteed as the signal is encrypted and cannot be eavesdropped on. Beware of imitators that say "Wi-Fi friendly." If it does not say Digital it is not advanced and is not Wi-fi friendly! The Swann ADW300 meets the critieria. Wireless Securiyt has never been so easy!

See Opinion at the end of the review for a better alternative. I bought two of these for use in my existing monitoring systems. Base stations needed to separate so I could get a complete picture video in each of the two channels on my existing DVR / multiplexer. It is true that they are very easy to install and that the level of interference in the wireless signal is close to zero when you have a high enough signal strength. Unfortunately, I stopped RMA'ing both houses of different reasons, because they waited too long to return my money. Probably will end up trying to sell them on ebay or something. A camera of problems: 1. Only appears in the BW 2nd The video is in order. Which has a thick black border on the sides and top of the frame. 3rd When light falls, never turn on the IR. Troubleshooting tried: switching power supplies has no effect on the problem of the B camera problems: 1 When he turns to dark, the brightness of the video pulses continuously, so that the motion sensor to think that DVR is the movement of the whole night. 2nd Radio signal strength dropped dramatically in the first week or two. It is up to the base station, which is originally connected with only occasional signal dropout, he must now work very close to the base station (next door). Troubleshooting tried: I tried to move, to the base station is much closer to the camera location and B can not log in until just a few meters. If I had a camera to the camera location B install camera easily connects to a base station, which, although much further. In an unrelated question, I had some difficulties to hold the two base stations to a signal with their camera when the other is closer to the base stations. It does not seem to matter, but the couple that are closer together seems to cause the second pair, and a small video to wireless generally falling: It's not a bug, in particular, I've changed my mind about the value of use of wireless, because regardless of quality, it's a pain to power is the location of the camera anyway, so you might as well just an AV extension cable, low voltage, audio and video running on your site assembly. It is not that much extra hassle associated with power supply only there and then you have no problems with wireless signal, etc. Regarding infrared illumination in general: I've also noticed that you are much better with extremely low Lux bullet cams and jump is infrared light. Looking for a hard-wire camera that can look at something like 0.008 lux or less teams, you'll be much happier. 6 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Easy to use and configure not satisfied with the product or the company behind the product for KI Bower purchased the product in a store on the way back from the sea about 80 miles from home. I thought the worst cases, the company stood behind their product. When I put it, that was easy! The picture of the day was great and I like it. The image of time is less than some of the time 'to be desired. There is a bar washed white through the center of the screen. It is a failure, (read online reviews of the product) in the design of the camera. Something reflects and causes distortion. I called and sent to the company. They insisted that I ride for 80 miles and return to the store where I bought it. They also said it was a mistake for the user with the way I was creating something. E-mail messages to prove it. I've saved for instances of this type. But Swann has lost a customer with the way they handled this. It uses the camera for daytime use. If you are looking for a night camera somewhere else I would just look my opinion. 5 of 6 people found this review helpful. Poor choice of E. Hawkins bought to use.
