Audiophile features, such as bi-amping capability and 7.2 multichannel pre-outs, help make the HT-RC370 an irresistible choice for the serious home theater fan. Network Capability Delivers Internet Radio and Network Audio Streaming via Ethernet As one of Onkyo's new breed of receivers that can link directly to the internet or to your home PC via a local network, the HT-RC370 takes streaming audio and internet radio to a whole new level. MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, FLAC, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, and LPCM audio files can now be played back through your main system with unprecedented power and fidelity. The HT-RC370 also brings to life a huge array of internet radio channels from vTuner, SIRIUS XM Internet Radio®, Mediafly, Pandora®, and Slacker™, plus on-demand music streaming from Napster and Rhapsody*. As well as being compatible with earlier platforms, the receiver is compatible with Microsoft's Windows® 7 platform, which includes the DLNA 1.5-specified "Play To" media-streaming feature. The HT-RC370's internet connectivity has the added benefit of making firmware updates simpler than ever. THX® Select2 Plus™ Certified THX Select2 Plus certification is specified for rooms where the screen-to-seat viewing distance is 10 to 12 feet and the room volume is around 2000 cubic feet. To achieve THX Select2 Plus certification, the HT-RC370 had to meet the world's most demanding standards for home theater audio quality and performance, and play at reference volume levels with minimal distortion. Wireless Ready: PC and Internet Audio Delivered Wirelessly to Your Main System About the size of a quarter, the UWF-1 connects to the USB port on compatible Onkyo A/V receivers and brings audio through your wireless router to your home entertainment system. Direct Digital Connection of iPod®/iPhone® via Front-Panel USB Port The HT-RC370's front-panel USB port lets you access MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, FLAC, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, and AAC audio files stored on a USB flash drive or iPod®/iPhone®. As the audio signals are transported in digital form, rather than analog, there is much less chance of signal degradation. End result: your music sounds cleaner and more faithful to the original. A further benefit of the USB input is that it lets you use the system's remote controller to play back audio files on the connected device. 4K Upscaling and Processing The HT-RC370 offers full 4K (3840 x 2160) upscaling of standard video sources such as 480i/p, 720p, and 1080i/p. Interlaced-to-progressive conversion and scaling are performed by high-quality Qdeo™ technology from Marvell. Qdeo™ is a versatile video processor that uses algorithms designed to erase video noise and artifacts such as jaggies and feathering. Played back on a compatible wide-screen display, your Blu-ray Discs and DVDs will look more detailed and cinematic than ever. HDMI® Support for 3D Video and Audio Return Channel The seven HDMI inputs on the HT-RC370 let you connect multiple high-def sources, such as a Blu-ray player, a gaming console, and a cable/satellite tuner. A single output then sends a pristine signal to your connected high-resolution display. The HDMI implementation on this receiver supports both 3D video and an Audio Return Channel, along with numerous high-resolution formats. 3D video brings exciting possibilities to home entertainment, with movie, game, and broadcast content on the increase and 3D-compatible TVs now on the market. Meanwhile, the Audio Return Channel allows audio content received directly by your HDTV's tuner to be sent "upstream" via HDMI to your A/V receiver, without the need for a separate S/PDIF audio cable. A Suite of Audyssey Technologies for the Ideal Listening Environment (1) Audyssey MultEQ XT® tailors multi-channel audio for your home theater speaker set-up by measuring up to 8 room positions and applying advanced resolution room correction solution with high resolution equalization filters for satellites and subwoofers. (2) Audyssey Dynamic EQ® maintains a consistent bass response, tonal balance, and surround-sound effect at different volume levels, so you can enjoy the natural dynamics of your content regardless of the volume. (3) Audyssey Dynamic Volume® automatically compensates for volume fluctuations in different audio content (for example, during commercial breaks) while optimizing the dynamic range. Audyssey DSX™ and Dolby® Pro Logic® IIz Add Expanded Dimensions to Surround Sound The HT-RC370 handles two advanced surround-sound technologies from Audyssey and Dolby that offer exciting new ways to set up the speakers in your home theater system. Audyssey DSX can reconfigure the HT-RC370's surround back channels to deliver "front height" channels. These channels carry ambient, non-directional audio that adds a new vertical dimension to your movies and games. Dolby Pro Logic IIz provides a similar front-height speaker option that likewise works to create a more enveloping home theater experience. Convenient Overlay On-Screen Display via HDMI® Changing your A/V receiver's settings is now more seamless than ever, thanks to the HT-RC370's overlay On-Screen Display (OSD) feature. With a simple press of the home button, the on-screen set-up menus appear overlaid on the video image you're watching. This means you can adjust the settings immediately, without having to switch back and forth from a blank screen background. I read a lot of comments to many receivers A / V before buying this. At first, I decided to buy the Onkyo TX-NR609, because he was more positive in the mid-range receivers was in the range of my budget, but the Audyssey 2EQ was one of the things I did not like the NR609 model because I wanted to combine with the subwoofer. Then I read that Onkyo HT-RC360 was the same performance, but the lack of THX certification and PC-A and almost $ 150 less. That's why he looked for a cheaper version of the TX-NR709, and thank God I found the HT-RC370 with Audyssey MultiXT (more than I wanted) and just $ 100 more than the model 609. Installation and setup was very easy too. Sony STR-DE995 replace my 2003, I performed the calibration of the three positions just because I was so happy to wait for 8:) I Inception Blu-ray on PS3 and I was really amazed at how my speakers themselves, especially the wonderful Polkaudio CS10 Center and RCA rear right I have never seen a clear dialogue like this before, and net effects of high frequency and last but not least fuck a realistic low frequency. When you increase the volume, we pass by a reference to THX 82.0 was really hard, but I said that I should give it a try. I must say it is closer to the theater as an experience you've ever especially with that price range. The video quality is also great. One thing I really like (but trivial) is receiving a lot of energy in standby mode and enable the HDMI switch. It was hot after 4 hours of standby time. I have not checked yet clear relief energy. The bottom line is this is an amazing piece of technology and I recommend it to anyone who is looking at the same price category 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Unbelievable! Christina Paul The Onkyo HT-RC370 home theater audio / video receiver is surprisingly easy given up, what it can do. As complex systems I can usually find my way around pretty easily, but I must say that I loved the quick set up instructions that came with the receiver. Even with my very limited sound system and not so great speakers, the unit sets out some incredible sound! To qualify this, I live in a log cabin in the woods and we shook the walls and the stone chimney with this one! Not since I had a drum circle, the three aboriginal drums very loudly boasted teams ten years ago, we have always done! I loved the jack for my iPod and could hear some of my favorite music with a larger sound system. I love the links to Pandora, Slacker, and Sirius XM Radio. I am not a subscriber to the latter, but for those who are, there is another option, a lower end receiver could have probably done a decent job, but the elements of the Onkyo HT-RC370 and the quality of the brand is ultimately what sold me. Other reviews for this product is definitely not an exaggeration. 2 of 4 people found the following review helpful. easy to install and great sound by M. Kooiman Last weekend I had the living room furniture and new 5.1 surround sound. I wanted 7.1, respectively, but not enough speakers. I had feared this activity a few weeks, expect that it is very complicated. I was very pleased when I opened the manual and found a chart exactly where the speakers for the configuration I had to aim down the sticker on each speaker cable, so I do not get confused and follow a simple graph showing shows where to connect each wire . Connecting the components was easy. Again, the diagram shows exactly what and where connected to HD TV picture is great and I hear the waves from my room as the sound flowed from speaker to speaker. After playing.

To RobAtlanta had the previous generation of 808 for several months, but was in need of a second receiver, and he knew what I wanted. In short, I'm surprised with the sound quality of 809. Music and movies sound much, much better - and the 808 is no slouch. The sound is richer, fuller and more balanced for all audio files - HD files on my server, but also music in real time low bit rates. Decoding surround sound for movies and the balance is much better and really adds to the "being there" experience. The 809 helped me with one of my biggest problems - subwoofers do not have a lot of bark when Bruce Willis blows the bad guys. Subs now sound much deeper and finally shake the ground and the only difference in my system is 809. Onkyo has obviously put a lot of work on improving the audio processing technologies. Graphical interfaces are better - especially for the net function / button, I literally could not tear myself from the 809 for hours after I set up - I had to see how much better everything sounded. Could not be happier and look at the purchase worth every penny. 15 of 17 people found this review helpful. The 809 is worth the upgrade ... Onkyo TX-NR809 Mike PA THX 7.2-channel network A / V Receiver (Black) certified property - day 10 I of a Onkyo TX-SR606, which I have been updated for about 3 years in the property. I loved my 606 so I thought why not with what I know / like (Onkyo) stick. I know all the problems people had with the Onkyo 808 and has stood by their product and repair of honor, even if one product is within the warranty period. I now have the opportunity to review all the bells and whistles of this receptor. Configuration - 5 / 5, very simply, if you are already experienced in the past with each receiver (strongly suggest, banana plugs and 14 or 12 gauge speaker cable). The included calibration microphone makes things really easy - connect your microphone and the receiver will automatically switch the user interface screen for the speaker setup and calibration after installation detects the speakers have been connected you can configure additional "points "in your viewing area. (May require a minimum of 10-15 minutes). Network configuration is very simple if you use a direct connection to the Ethernet (DHCP assigns an IP address for you also suggest assigning a static IP address to avoid conflicts). Sound - 5 / 5, which currently uses a 5.1 configuration with Polk Monitor speakers I am very pleased with the results. While the 606 was not soft feel Audyssey MultEQ found in 809 recent things that made her more "clear" (hard to describe) - Before you buy, I started watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy on bluray and I saw the first 2 movies and half of the third to 606 - finally finish the third film in the 809 - easily hear the difference in sound quality. Video - 5 / 5 * I * put into service, because I had very little to do with upscaling capabilities, all of my sources was 1080p (not including HD cable is 1080i and I've changed the text "through") have made use of my Wii is only 480p, and I was impressed with the quality (still no where near HD, but has seen a marked improvement on a "TV-52.) am curious to know how the upscaling feature 4K can work (because there is retail TVs on the market that can accept a resolution that high), but for now Vida processor should be sufficient to luxury and the source that is not already Features 1080p -.!. 4.5 / 5, is to use the opportunities in LOVE Pandora Network as easy as using it on my phone or computer (maybe not the part type with the remote), but the interface is very clean and easy to use. The recent firmware update added Spotify, but I have yet to check. DLNA function was important for me because it can be connected directly to my NAS and play all my MP3 files from there, no need to stream from the NAS to my PS3 I first bought a 3rd party app for the iPhone.

Large Mid-receiver with more than most of snakeye142 I upgraded from an old Yamaha HTR not HDMI 5850th I looked at the following: - Onkyo TX-SR608 - Denon AVR-1911 - Pioneer VSX-1020-S - PIONEER VSX-1021-K - Yamaha RX-V667 - A few others - Onkyo HT-RC360 is also a lot like that deserves comparison , esp. with the price. First impression: - Box was well packed. - Easy to connect to the right of the box. I have a simple 5.1 installed, but 7.2 seems pretty easy. Plenty of space between things, except the power seems to be in a place a bit uncomfortable, but definitely not a game changer or something to lose more than 5 minutes to think. - Plenty of ports (more on that later). - Very nice and especially intuitive GUI OSD. I am one of those guys who have not read the manual if I do not need, and the only time I had to learn how to program a radio station. - Remote is just ok to use a heavier feel to it and a better explanation of things. I got used to my iPhone or use the remote control (more on that below too). Advantages of this: - 6x HDMI inputs, one front, one output. - Network can. I use Pandora a lot and it integrates nicely, but it has many other features of Internet music. - Nice On Screen Display (OSD) of the GUI (Graphical User Interface). - Support via Marvell Qdeo 4K (3840 x 2160 1920 x 1080 vs, although most TVs do not support this, but still ...). - The iPhone / iPhone app control (give the half, I have more to say about this below). - All standard HDMI 1.4 features (standby HDMI pass-through, 3D, Audio Return Channel). - Powered Zone 2 audio output. - The iPhone / iPod connector out of the box via the standard USB cable to the front (no need for an additional (more money) port, but there is an Onkyo UP-A1 iPod dock). - PC VGA in (but really, most of them have HDMI now anyway). - Optional Onkyo HT1 HD Radio tuner - excellent sound quality. - High quality video conversion. I took an old DVD and set the output to 480i (standard definition) and let you convert the pipe. So comparing the output from my PS3 in 1080, and an old HD DVD player (lol) and a stand-alone DVD player with upconversion and 1080 this receiver just blew him away. (Note:. On top of a 50inch Sony TV) - DLNA (for connecting to a home media system or a PC with music). - THX certification (for the show for me and the cool factor, I could not tell much difference). - Of course it does Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA and all the other standard decoder. - Ability to update firmware via Internet easily. Disadvantages of these: - No built-in HD Radio. - No built-AirPlay (as some Denon and Pioneer VSX-1021-k). - No video output for zone 2 - No PC control. A few things to note: - The iPhone Remote is a bit lacking. He does his basic things you would expect: the control of the station entrance, on / off, change the music on Pandora etc / DLNA / iPod /, but the volume could use some work and the ability to bass / acute and large control buttons instead of the volume is useless. Two things I wish it had: the ability to vote on Pandora or any interaction, and the ability to select the audio level of each speaker to adjust. Fitting is simple and very easy to use. Very nice bonus. - When using the standby on, you can opt for "last used input", "the output of a specific" or "Auto". If you change it, it turns on. The "Auto" option can be weird sometimes switch to something, but after the thing I want out, go back to catch him. - A fan on the top, but have yet to realize that, even in the dead silence of a horror movie, even after the receiver goes for 5-6 hours, followed by a few days in a row. Maybe later. I am very happy with this and would (and have) recommend this as an upgrade purchase 06/20/11: - Added.

Most helpful customer reviews 38 of 38 people found this review helpful. HDMI: Good receiver with many inputs and functions of E. van I have recently returned from a receiver to Onkyo TX-NR509 the HT530 for its HDMI and some of the fancy extras (networking, USB playback, etc.) Some thoughts about the recipient upgraded last gene Onkyo questions? ---------------- Do some research before buying, I was afraid that the HDMI handshake issues arising to be present for the TX-SR508 and TX-SR608 owner would, but so far so good. Currently, its use with a PS3, no problems so far. Will be updated in any case, because I come into question. Easy Setup ---------------- The old receiver is not setup Audyssey EQ was interesting the support. The process put in place ultimately doomed placed precisely in relation to the automatic removal of the speaker configuration and the values that I usually have to hand in my old handset. One for the initial setup painless! Display on the big screen ---------------- The OSD is really clean and makes the menus easy to navigate I'm not used to be able to both without looking at the built in display (which is really cool looking) receiver. The OSD-based network for playback is a bit simple, but it gets the job done. Network capabilities mediocre ---------------- Much of the spending a bit more for this model over others I was thinking was to network resources. It was really cool to get it to connect online and download a firmware update. Hopefully this means that there will be an improvement over the following: DLNA playing for the recipient. Here is where I have more trouble. PS3 Media Server I configured on my home server and media should diligently to your PS3 via a gigabit network with no problems. The TX-NR509 is able to see and connect, but that's the trouble starts. They did not identify the cause of it yet, but I noticed the folders that contain "a lot" of sub-folders or files (I'm talking about 20-30 here) to the receiver of an error and force you to go to a level directory / and try a few directories that contain only one file refused to open (I could not understand this). Let it sit there and fill the contents of folders did not help either. I was hoping I could play music from the server without turning on your PS3 and TV, so I am experiencing problems DLNA is a little scary. Fortunately, it is possible that Onkyo can fix this via a future firmware update. A review of Rodney, I tried the free OnkyTroller Android application on my phone to control the receiver. It does work, but the application looks very ugly and looks a bit limited in functionality. However, great idea. I've just noticed that surfing on my phone with DLNA folders causes jumps in the music when playing from the network (too much network activity for the recipient to handle?) Additional thoughts -------------- - - TX-NR509 is just warm after hours of use (much cooler than my old HT530)-I love the "Dynamic Volume" feature on the receiver, it prevents the opening song of TV broadcasts from radiation and helps us listen to the soft dialogue without cluttering with remote control, this receiver is pretty big compared to where they are replaced under the plan, if space is limited 20 of 21 people found the following review helpful. All in all, very good receiver, but all the features! Overall, by I. Smith, it's a good receiver and I have come to very happy with it. But there are some very important things to know about a potential buyer must first, I did not know these things when I bought it, but luckily I was able to circumvent them. The receiver of secret video formats This can be a normal thing with receivers, but it was unknown to me when I bought and read with dismay about it in the manual. This means that if, for example, an HDMI cable in the video.

I have an ear to hear, played trumpet for many years and have been involved with high-end car audio for over 25 years. I went to Best Buy and Magnolia entered their room and there was a couple of B & W 61 / 2 "bookshelf speakers for $ 799 Simon and Garfunkle game. He seemed irritated as the Denon receiver will return only Fry. I asked what was the receiver and stressed the Dennon, I understand, I asked him to put on the Elite VSX-32 up and looked great. I started the search for Pioneer receiver and I found the Onkyo TX-NR609 THX certified and has a video processor Qdeo and started watching it. The specifications were clean 100 watts at 0.08% THD @ 20-20K Hz Well Friday Fry Electronics ad appeared and it was their anniversary sale, it was an Onkyo receiver for $ 299, it was the HT-RC360. I looked at the specs and saw no difference between this receiver and the TX-NR609 is the THX certification. The device has the same name, same specs, so I picked it up. WOW is what I have to say, I run Polk RTI A3 is the fronts to the wall the THX settings recommendations, the Polk Monitor 30 for front and Velodyne 10, RMC Polk center channel. room size is 10x13 with a 46 "Samsung LCD LN46c630. This receiver is clean and can shoot some serious power to your speakers. Not only in movies, but Blu-ray Madonna, Elton John Red Piano Great, you can really Hearing the details I could not with the Dennon or my old Sony ES. piano, horns, vocals are strong and clean at loud volumes. I am no longer in view of the Pioneer Elite. Let me ad features are basic, not to be confused with the simple bass and treble adjustment is multi-band eq, but I do not like a negative, see, because I try not to introduce EQ in my setups. This device does not need an EQ with a balance of the speakers. However, if you're the type who likes to use Auddessy you'll be happy. Do you EQ it. I recommend this receiver for the audiophiles, even out there. He will amaze you. 20 of 23 people found the following review helpful. AV Receiver great - excellent point average prices by Kay Hayes I paired this receiver with an Onkyo HT-RC360 7.1 Surround Sound Speaker System Onkyo SKS-HT870 Home Theater Speaker System and took him for a week long test drive. The fourth set I was not really anything in the fourth, but a loft. Instead of four walls, I was dealing with three walls and a wall at the back half of the "fourth". It is a difficult arrangement for a speaker system, but ultimately I was living with the results of the approximately 14 meters wide and 12 feet deep is satisfied. The arrangement is such that the TV and audio equipment to listen to a wall 14 feet and chairs against the wall opposite half. The two side walls are 12 feet and strong. The speakers are mounted close enough to where Dolby Labs offers the exception that the surround speakers are about 8 feet and sloping down toward the listening area. I do not have the rear surround speakers offered in a traditional 7.1 setup, but chose to "front up" option of Dolby Pro Logic IIz, because I was not completely a rear wall. In fact, if the receiver has this option, n not, I would be stuck with a 5.1 configuration. Physically setting up the system setup was a breeze. The color coding on the speaker cable, the Onkyo speaker outputs on the receiver. Inputs and outputs are clearly marked. I chose to use the supplied cables and wires to see how things straight from the box if you connect the TV via HDMI output only the programming can be done via remote control and displayed on the TV screen. At this point I ran into two sections ugly. At first I could not climb.
