Phone was not unlocked By t When we ordered this phone, it was for my daughter who was moving overseas, we needed one that was unlocked as it is easier and cheaper to use the overseas phone service. The phone was advertised as being unlocked....my daughter had to pay 30 euros to have it unlocked when she got to Europe. Lack of clarity of the product itself due to misliding information: on the amazon page it was presented as iPhone 3GS and in reality it was iPhone 3G. 2. During initialization the latest release of telephone software from I tunes blocked the phone as not "apple official unlocked iPhone". 3. As I bring my iPhone to Italy, and return the phone by courrier was diffult I brought the phone for unlocking again to a specialized operator. Didn't get any interfence at all even as I moved around the house with the camera. Image from the camera was so-so. About what I would expect from a 320 line 1/4 cheapo sensor. The infrared illuminator worked pretty well. Now to the problem...the camera only lasted about 15 minutes before the image became horribly distorted. It would seem that the cmos sensor was overheating and causing the distortion. I unplugged the camera and let it cool down for a few minutes before plugging it back in. This solved the problem for about another 5 minutes before it was back to its un viewable distortion. I hope that I just got a defective unit because this is a serious design issue. No point in having a security camera that cant operate for more than a few minutes at a time. Sending it back for a refund. 17 of 17 people found the following review helpful. Very good value (Great quality no complaints) By Akash Sondhi We purchased this security camera at a good price (cheaper than the amazon list price). The setup couldn't have been easier. It is a standalone unit without the need of a computer. However, if you are technically inclined you can set it up with your PC for remote monitoring. The range of wireless is good, it claims 300ft, we tested within a radius of 150 ft and the reception and signal was excellent. It can serve as a good basic/intermediate security systems. As I reviewed other security cameras in Amazon, the specs looks exactly like a SVT security camera which has has decent reviewes. In addition to security other users have found much better uses of this type of systems, such as bird watching, cat fights in the backyard :) The other reviewer has raised an important point. Good value, decent quality By Justin A. Parr For the price, this camera is a good value. It does not use the 2.4GHz footprint, so it does not interfere with WiFi or bluetooth. I have tested the range out to about 100ft, through a brick wall. Picture quality at night is reasonable for a low-end camera: Nothing spectacular, but not bad. The IR has a very LIMITED range -- maybe 15 feet. The camera, when used in daytime "color" mode has a decent picture, and at night when used with a separate illumination source, such as an IR illuminator. The packages that come with two cameras and one base only support sequence view, where the base switches from camera 1 to camera 2, then back to camera 1. If you use this with a DVR, you need a base for each camera. I have two of these operating concurrently on different channels as a stop-gap until I can get the cabling run for my other cameras. They work well together, with no interference. By default, the camera and base are configured for "frequency 1", so for the second camera, you have to disable frequency 1 and enable frequency 2 on the base, then switch the camera frequency to frequency 2. On the base, there are two dip switches, representing the two frequencies, so you flip both dip switches to their opposite position. On the camera, there is a slide switch under the hood at the back of the camera. The camera is capable of running for about 3 hours on a 9V battery, which is nice if you have a specific event that you want to capture, without having to run a cable. From Krell to Marantz By David Bower Update May 6, 2011 I lost the two front speakers again and restored them using the technique on page 115 of the User Guide. The speakers are now working but I'm curious why that is happening; I'm going to contact Marantz technical support and see if they can shed any light on it. If anything interesting emerges I'll post another update. I suppose the most important information I can share at this time is to please use the memory saving instructions on page 115; they're simple and can save a lot of re-setup in the future if you experience a problem. Update March 14, 2011 A few days ago I experienced a complete loss of my two front main speakers, both left and right. That was a first so I started checking wiring etc. to try and isolate the problem but everything looked good. I then checked the settings on the Marantz and could find nothing suspicious there either. I tried using the tone generation feature but it too skipped over the front left and front right speakers. In researching the mystery I got to page 115 of the User Guide and read the section on "Resetting the microprocessor." I decided to try that procedure and it worked and restored all of the speakers to normal operation. I had spent several hours on the initial setup and found that work could be saved to memory by following the "Memory Saving" procedure on that page. I would recommend that you save your settings to memory by following the instructions on page 115 when you have completed setting up your AV7005. If you should experience a similar loss of speakers the resetting procedure described on that page worked well for me and may work for you as well. I continue to be very pleased with the musicality of the Marantz; I have discovered the "Neural" setting amoung the surround options and have started playing back my two-channel CD's using that setting and am getting fabulous results. It's almost like hearing my older CD collection for the first time. Original review I have owned a Krell Home Theater Standard preamp processor for many years now; the experience has been both rewarding and disappointing. Rewarding in the sense that the Krell has very good audio qualities, but disappointing in the sense that it was not future proof as represented. This Marantz AV7005 is replacing a Krell HTS 7.1 which has absolutely no HDMI capability and cannot be updated to offer it. This happens to be my second Krell, neither of which could be updated to utilize later developments although both were initially represented as being future proof. It has been a delight to set up a piece of equipment which has all of the latest bells and whistles and can accommodate the latest cables. Of all of the things important to me, the only things lacking is the ability to decode SACD and DVD-Audio; this, however, is being supplied by the OPPO BD-83SE player which I've attached to the system. With those two correctable exceptions, the Marantz has done everything asked of it and done it very well. The set up on the Marantz took some time but was not too complicated. If one uses only new equipment with HDMI capability the set up with the Marantz is virtually automatic. If you're trying to integrate some older equipment it takes a little longer but the flexibility is there to integrate most legacy equipment successfully. I tried using the Audyssey auto setup but found the results were not really to my liking; I wound up using my trusty Radio Shack sound pressure level meter and adjusted the speaker balance and crossover frequency between the subwoofer and the other speakers to the THX recommended standards. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, the primary use for my system is the reproduction of music; I happen to be a serious pipe organ fan and had the pipe organ in mind when I originally set up my system. Have tried to transfer pictures from 3 different phones. Same problem with all. What do you expect from a cheap item. You get what you pay for. lesson learned. Good for specific uses By Mang From the previous review and the price, I anticipated some issues with this dongle on Windows. But that wasn't why I got it. I purchased it with the intent to use it on Linux with my PS3 controller. Linux recognizes it and uses it without issues. I also tried it in a G4 iMac using OSX Tiger (10.4.7) and it was recognized immediately. I have not tried it on Windows, but I imagine that with an open source Bluetooth stack it could handle the PS3 controller fairly well. However, that stack doesn't support things like AD2P on Windows. The grip isn't quite flush with the surface as the USB port is a bit longer than usual, but that's not enough to offset the price for it. You can't really beat a cross-platform joystick bluetooth receiver for $3. If you're looking for solid Windows support on various Bluetooth profiles, though, as the other review suggest you'll probably be disappointed. See all 3 customer reviews...
