Marques I, a "pre-N" network, which simply means that it is faster than G speed and greater range bin. I bought this adapter for my kids PC about 35 feet away and through an interior wall. Download speeds are almost as fast as my wired connection - I'm amazed. Although I am an advanced user (20 years with a home PC - built a few over the years) always have this equipment in operation was simple plug and play. I was online in 5 minutes. The substance is extremely stable - not to use a drop or loss of speed after a few weeks. BTW, I chose the USB, the device can be used for a new PC on the road (because it is not superfluous in a long time considering the speed). 14 of 14 people found the following review helpful. Installs and works well - not permanently, by B. Townsend I own this one because it came with our router. I installed it on our second computer using the wired dock, and within a few weeks, the major failure of the physical design of the dock was clear angle The attractive design is not supported in addition to the USB port and plug, and dispose of as anything in or on the adapter is pulled out and inserted back (errors leading to disconnect and reconnect the USB device!), to the port in the dock and the AC adapter, both the development of problems with the connection. If the adapter is used by itself, is large and cumbersome and more easily knocked or damaged. It is less durable USB item I've ever had. If I could give you a zero for durability, I would. If you could run at once and never, never to move / touch / bump, he would be fine. It installs easily, works fine, until the connectivity problems inherent in the inevitable wear and tear caused by poor physical design of the carcasses and the dock adapter starts. 12 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Make work with XP drivers for the S Bernstein have an old XP Pro running on a PC Pentium 4 / 3.0 Mhz. When you run the Belkin software and connect the device at all looked promising, I went my WEP key was accepted, and then I got repeated messages to the network server does not communicate with the computer. As suggested in several studies, I went Belkin Utility and select the option to run on the Windows tool ... and now works very well in the 54.0 Mbps in a bedroom upstairs to my router. Uninstall the Belkin software and run the Windows Add New Hardware Wizard did work faster / better with smaller icons / distractions. So if your PC is XP circumvent Belkin software and go directly to the Windows installation of new hardware and you should have a good experience with this product. See all 87 reviews ....
