Good sound, poor user interface Malevolence story, I had an old Kenwood for the past 15 years, Dolby Pro Logic, it was running at 120 watts per channel. I know that not all watts, but for us non-audio experts is a good reference point. I will do my best to be brief, there is much to say about such a system. It's a great sound system and is probably over kill for almost everyone, and if not, you'll probably connect an external amplifier to do it and transferring the dead. It has more power than I can use, the volume scale of -80 to 18, I walk around -50 to -30 for the most part. The system is probably designed for the much larger space when I have it installed, 16x20, but even in this room size, it sounds fantastic, and partly to Audyessy system I believe. I currently have it set for 9.1, I had most of the speakers at the hand of Kenwood 5.1 A system, and strangely enough, the speakers sound better than they ever did in the old Kenwood Old speakers do not sound nearly as deaf, with more ups and downs, what Kenwood was low differences squarely on Kenwood decoder and amplifier itself, the modern decoders can make a big difference. The system does not work outside the box, but need not be a professional to set up the system. However, you must run the automatic configuration, you need to connect to your TV and then connect the supplied microphone to make the system work. Do not worry about doing things right, had myself to spend a few speakers at all, just unplug the microphone and plug it again to start the automatic settings. Wiring diagrams of the speakers is a bit confusing at first, was 5.1 pretty easily, but why anyone would buy a system like this for 5.1 should only buy any number of systems that are much cheaper and for 5.1 or even 1:07 , 1. Wiring a 9.1 One was confusing to the rear and sides of a happiness that I bought cheap set of banana plugs, wires made when changing the speaker to the proper ports so much easier. The user interface is designed to be fully expelled from the TV. While you can get some things from the front screen is almost useless for displaying something, but what is currently selected / or play. That does not sit well with me, not using a projector to my TV (half the time I just listen to music, and the need to turn on the TV to navigate to my music online, and then to switch). WebView or http:// vision is poorly thought out and implemented almost useless for anything other than the volume, which as you can use the remote. You are better off using the TV. My old Linksys router for 90 years or even my old Tivo gene has more CPU power, then the web interface, it is difficult to display anything of value, the front panel display also. I think the user interface a bit frustrating sometimes when playing music online that sometimes the lock, and the only thing you can do that occasionally comes to work and start playing music, then stop playback of music is saying that the authentication or download sits at 0%, in which case it is locked, I have no internet on the computer very well, so having to turn it off and on again. It seems strange to have an awkward user interface into a product that costs so much that you would think that would have paid $ 09.06 and has a PowerPC chip to run the user interface, and then debug / test correctly. Consider other modes (TV, B-Ray, DVD, CD) work well, it's just the network portion of the unit is raised, including screen user interface of the TV works fine most of the time, but nothing on the network subsystem is error free. Windows Media Player plays through fine, but would like a couple of drivers for Windows 7 itself, the system reacts as a multi-channel or see
