Great value al74 what I had to replace it with the VSX-820-K, which I liked, but had some shortcomings, such as the requirement to use an analog video connection to the TV when the menu want to use it on the screen. Did you this from an Amazon dealer for not less than the $ 399 MSRP. Aesthetics and Design: Classy black - has won the approval of marriage partners. However, since the 820-K, covering the front USB and audio / video ports is not connected to the receiver - it is a piece of plastic you have to completely take over, if you are a device USB or any source you want to connect connectors on the front. I wish it were a permanent connection, simply because I see how to lose them. Reduction of a star for that. Sound: Great. I used a 10-year-old Denon 5.1 receiver that I loved. I think the sound quality of this pioneer of films is almost the same as my old Denon. The sound quality when playing music simple, however, is much, much better than the Denon - only cleaner I do not think my self an audiophile, but I am very happy with the sound (connected to a loudspeaker 5, Onkyo first set) . HDMI video looks great. My Wii is connected via analog RCA cable to the receiver and the video is up-converted (if this is the correct term) and is due to the single HDMI connection on TV. Motorola cable box and Media Center PCs are connected via HDMI and a great job, no problems. No need to switch inputs on my TV, which simplifies life and macro function of my universal remote. The configuration is quite common for the recipients, you will not understand many features and configuration options, unless you bother to read the instructions. Food: It seems that much larger than I used to increase my Denon receiver and the sound is not my Home Theater PC (ie, , Same volume you can hear the big computer, but when I switch to cable I have to turn up the volume to get good sound - it can be a problem with the cable box to print the lower levels, but I want the receiver can handle it and the volume even with all sources) total more than $ 300 for a receiver capable of 3D from a known manufacturer Pioneer, with 7-channel conversion USB support and value rather surprising. I am very happy with my purchase. 13 of 14 people found this review helpful. Many receivers for not a lot of money for K-Dogg bought this from Amazon last week for sale at a great price! This unit replaces a 9-year-old Yamaha HTR-5440 5.1 CH receiver. I think the sound quality is excellent, as Yamaha, and since my TV only has 2 HDMI inputs I am now able to connect my TiVo HD, Blu Ray, and Media Center PC to the receiver and just run a cable hdmi to the TV and I have to shut down a component to connect to another could have done this with an HDMI switch, but that's another piece of electronic drawing on and a little power all day, every day. The extension seems to do a great job with my Wii which is connected to only one video cable composition. The interface of the iPhone / iPod is great, but if you want to see your home on your TV (not a problem for me as they rarely have the TV on while listening to music on your iPhone / iPod) will have to buy atleast 1020K, for is the next step and offer this feature. I have stereo speakers on my deck that are connected to B speaker have sound much better with this receiver, which they did when they were connected in the same way the old Yamaha receiver that allows me to add or subtract db sent to these speakers (up to 15 dB more) and Yamaha does not have this receiver works perfectly with my Logitech Harmony remote. The only drawback for me was that this receiver has no power to 110 volts to turn off the power on the back of my subwoofer and the old Yamaha has had this feature. I.
