Network Capability Delivers Internet Radio and Network Audio Streaming via Ethernet As one of Onkyo's new breed of receivers that can link directly to the internet or to your home PC via a local network, the HT-RC370 takes streaming audio and internet radio to a whole new level. MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, FLAC, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, and LPCM audio files can now be played back through your main system with unprecedented power and fidelity. The HT-RC370 also brings to life a huge array of internet radio channels from vTuner, SIRIUS XM Internet Radio®, Mediafly, Pandora®, and Slacker™, plus on-demand music streaming from Napster and Rhapsody*. As well as being compatible with earlier platforms, the receiver is compatible with Microsoft's Windows® 7 platform, which includes the DLNA 1.5-specified "Play To" media-streaming feature. The HT-RC370's internet connectivity has the added benefit of making firmware updates simpler than ever. THX® Select2 Plus™ Certified THX Select2 Plus certification is specified for rooms where the screen-to-seat viewing distance is 10 to 12 feet and the room volume is around 2000 cubic feet. To achieve THX Select2 Plus certification, the HT-RC370 had to meet the world's most demanding standards for home theater audio quality and performance, and play at reference volume levels with minimal distortion. Wireless Ready: PC and Internet Audio Delivered Wirelessly to Your Main System About the size of a quarter, the UWF-1 connects to the USB port on compatible Onkyo A/V receivers and brings audio through your wireless router to your home entertainment system. Direct Digital Connection of iPod®/iPhone® via Front-Panel USB Port The HT-RC370's front-panel USB port lets you access MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, FLAC, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, and AAC audio files stored on a USB flash drive or iPod®/iPhone®. As the audio signals are transported in digital form, rather than analog, there is much less chance of signal degradation. End result: your music sounds cleaner and more faithful to the original. A further benefit of the USB input is that it lets you use the system's remote controller to play back audio files on the connected device. 4K Upscaling and Processing The HT-RC370 offers full 4K (3840 x 2160) upscaling of standard video sources such as 480i/p, 720p, and 1080i/p. Interlaced-to-progressive conversion and scaling are performed by high-quality Qdeo™ technology from Marvell. Qdeo™ is a versatile video processor that uses algorithms designed to erase video noise and artifacts such as jaggies and feathering. Played back on a compatible wide-screen display, your Blu-ray Discs and DVDs will look more detailed and cinematic than ever. HDMI® Support for 3D Video and Audio Return Channel The seven HDMI inputs on the HT-RC370 let you connect multiple high-def sources, such as a Blu-ray player, a gaming console, and a cable/satellite tuner. A single output then sends a pristine signal to your connected high-resolution display. The HDMI implementation on this receiver supports both 3D video and an Audio Return Channel, along with numerous high-resolution formats. 3D video brings exciting possibilities to home entertainment, with movie, game, and broadcast content on the increase and 3D-compatible TVs now on the market. Meanwhile, the Audio Return Channel allows audio content received directly by your HDTV's tuner to be sent "upstream" via HDMI to your A/V receiver, without the need for a separate S/PDIF audio cable. A Suite of Audyssey Technologies for the Ideal Listening Environment (1) Audyssey MultEQ XT® tailors multi-channel audio for your home theater speaker set-up by measuring up to 8 room positions and applying advanced resolution room correction solution with high resolution equalization filters for satellites and subwoofers. (2) Audyssey Dynamic EQ® maintains a consistent bass response, tonal balance, and surround-sound effect at different volume levels, so you can enjoy the natural dynamics of your content regardless of the volume. (3) Audyssey Dynamic Volume® automatically compensates for volume fluctuations in different audio content (for example, during commercial breaks) while optimizing the dynamic range. Audyssey DSX™ and Dolby® Pro Logic® IIz Add Expanded Dimensions to Surround Sound The HT-RC370 handles two advanced surround-sound technologies from Audyssey and Dolby that offer exciting new ways to set up the speakers in your home theater system. Audyssey DSX can reconfigure the HT-RC370's surround back channels to deliver "front height" channels. These channels carry ambient, non-directional audio that adds a new vertical dimension to your movies and games. Dolby Pro Logic IIz provides a similar front-height speaker option that likewise works to create a more enveloping home theater experience. Convenient Overlay On-Screen Display via HDMI® Changing your A/V receiver's settings is now more seamless than ever, thanks to the HT-RC370's overlay On-Screen Display (OSD) feature. With a simple press of the home button, the on-screen set-up menus appear overlaid on the video image you're watching. This means you can adjust the settings immediately, without having to switch back and forth from a blank screen background. Onkyo Remote App for iPod®/iPhone® Available as a free download, this app lets you use your iPod® touch or iPhone® as a remote controller to control a range of functions on the HT-RC370. As well as letting you select internet radio stations, it also lets you select streaming audio input from a DLNA-compatible server. TheRemote App also enables you to perform basic playback operations and control the receiver's volume with an interface that uses the iPod®/iPhone®'s built-in accelerometer. *Compatible iPod®/iPhone® models: iPod® touch 3rd generation or later; iPhone® 3GS or later. I read a lot of comments to many receivers A / V before buying this. At first, I decided to buy the Onkyo TX-NR609, because he was more positive in the mid-range receivers was in the range of my budget, but the Audyssey 2EQ was one of the things I did not like the NR609 model because I wanted to combine with the subwoofer. Then I read that Onkyo HT-RC360 was the same performance, but the lack of THX certification and PC-A and almost $ 150 less. That's why he looked for a cheaper version of the TX-NR709, and thank God I found the HT-RC370 with Audyssey MultiXT (more than I wanted) and just $ 100 more than the model 609. Installation and setup was very easy too. Sony STR-DE995 replace my 2003, I performed the calibration of the three positions just because I was so happy to wait for 8:) I Inception Blu-ray on PS3 and I was really amazed at how my speakers themselves, especially the wonderful Polkaudio CS10 Center and RCA rear right I have never seen a clear dialogue like this before, and net effects of high frequency and last but not least fuck a realistic low frequency. When you increase the volume, we pass by a reference to THX 82.0 was really hard, but I said that I should give it a try. I must say it is closer to the theater as an experience you've ever especially with that price range. The video quality is also great. One thing I really like (but trivial) is receiving a lot of energy in standby mode and enable the HDMI switch. It was hot after 4 hours of standby time. I have not checked yet clear relief energy. The bottom line is this is an amazing piece of technology and I recommend it to anyone who is looking at the same price category 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Unbelievable! Christina Paul The Onkyo HT-RC370 home theater audio / video receiver is surprisingly easy given up, what it can do. As complex systems I can usually find my way around pretty easily, but I must say that I loved the quick set up instructions that came with the receiver. Even with my very limited sound system and not so great speakers, the unit sets out some incredible sound! To qualify this, I live in a log cabin in the woods and we shook the walls and the stone chimney with this one! Not since I had a drum circle, the three aboriginal drums very loudly boasted teams ten years ago, we have always done! I loved the jack for my iPod and could hear some of my favorite music with a larger sound system. I love the links to Pandora, Slacker, and Sirius XM Radio. I am not a subscriber to the latter, but for those who are, there is another option, a lower end receiver could have probably done a decent job, but the elements of the Onkyo HT-RC370 and the quality of the brand is ultimately what sold me. Other reviews for this product is definitely not an exaggeration. 2 of 4 people found the following review helpful. easy to install and great sound by M. Kooiman Last weekend I had the living room furniture and new 5.1 surround sound. I wanted 7.1, respectively, but not enough speakers. I had feared this activity a few weeks, expect that it is very complicated. I was very pleased when I opened the manual and found a chart exactly where the speakers for the configuration I had to aim down the sticker on each speaker cable, so I do not get confused and follow a simple graph showing shows where to connect each wire . Connecting the components was easy. Again, the diagram shows exactly what and where connected to HD TV picture is great and I hear the waves from my room as the sound flowed from speaker to speaker. After playing.
