I do not know where to start. I mention this is amazing? I was running a Bose Lifestyle 48 before that, but when I finally decided to take full advantage of HDMI connections, which was presented to the Bose and ONKYO. What a breath of fresh air! There are many features of the TX-NR906 I like. Starting with the remote - I'm sure it's a common practice today for the remote control receiver to be quite intelligent, but this guy is really brilliant. I could teach all the control commands of my three main remote (TV players, BD and CD), more or less, drivers only point to point and click. I refer to commands that are not normally part of the arsenal of a universal driver. The large number of connection choices really come in handy, as I well above HDMI inputs and has one of the two outputs are connected to my TV. There are a ton of digital audio options as well. The front panel offers a number of connectivity options, including a USB port for playing MP3 files. Another aspect of the receiver that I really like is the fact that this system not only sounds phenomenal when playing movies, but sounds like a great CD to play or listen to music from my computer. With previous systems, it always seemed that one is better than another, but the TX-NR906, I really feel like I get audiophile quality sound from all components. Oh yeah, did I mention? HD radio sounds phenomenal! I have XM or Sirius, but it is on the short list of short-term upgrades. There is an antenna connection for both. This receiver is the hub of my home theater. Perspective, my setup has a Samsung LN46A750 46-inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color, Panasonic DMP-BD30K 1080p Blu-ray Disc player, a Sony 5-Disc Carousel CD Player, Dell XPS Pentium D 30 GHz / 3.0 GB RAM / VisionTek Radeon HD4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express graphics card, Playstation 3 80GB, Motorola digital cable / DVR and Aperion Audio intimus 5T Hybrid HD Speaker System. All this, combined with the TX-NR906, sounds and looks really incredible. I use HDMI for video of all components. I am also completing the audio cable box digital coaxial cable. I am also increasing the BD audio player, multichannel audio connecting cables through the outlets. I bought the TX-NR906, in October 2008 and so far I have not found anything I do not like. The only small thing I will point to the remote. If the commands of your other remotes education, you might need a few trials. At first I thought some of the commands would not be taught, but I did it and was finally able to teach all the commands are not much, just do not give up if it does not work immediately. Whether you're watching HDTV, you hear your favorite music, watch the latest Blu-Ray or playing the hottest item on your PC or PS3 - if you have the money, this receiver is the perfect complement to any home theater. 37 of 44 customers found this review helpful.
